The MCs briefly transition between segments, reacting to a video message from the ‘Illuminated Apes’ podcast duo (Turtle and Tai) that addresses the male suicide rate and the need for men to embrace emotional wholeness. The hosts riff on the importance of dismantling toxic masculinity and the stigma of men showing vulnerability, with one MC echoing a point he made at a prior SYT event.

[01:50:33] support we’re here because you’re here many of the topics that we’re going to be covering on our

[01:50:39] Podcasts are not just based on our personal experiences, but based on experiences we’ve had working with the community throughout the years.

[01:50:49] Our mission is to create a space where we can teach men to navigate through society in a logical, creative, and yes, even spiritual way.

[01:51:04] We’ll have expert guests in psychology, cognitive behavioral therapy, and general mental health, as well as spiritual teachers and life coaching advice.

[01:51:34] As a matter of fact, 79% of suicides in the United States are men.

[01:51:41] We need to do something about this.

[01:51:43] It’s gone way too far.

[01:51:46] We need to make our men be complete, emotional, physical, and spiritual.

[01:51:55] We hope to help as well as entertain our audience for a long time to come.

[01:52:00] Feel free to check out our website and our merch store.

[01:52:04] So we can build a better future for men everywhere.

[01:52:08] And women.

[01:52:09] Your contributions support our vision in illuminating as many apes as possible.

[01:52:14] Who knows? Maybe all of humanity.

[01:52:16] We’ll leave you with this question.

[01:52:19] Are you illuminated?

[01:52:34] All right, guys. Back.

[01:52:41] All right.

[01:52:43] We’re back.

[01:52:45] And we’re back.

[01:52:48] Are you illuminated?

[01:52:50] Good question.

[01:52:52] I like what he said there, like how we all need to be, like, whole.

[01:52:57] I like that.

[01:52:58] Like, emotionally whole.

[01:53:00] And, like, you know, I feel like that’s kind of in the theme of the day.

[01:53:04] You know, like, especially what us men is holding stuff in.

[01:53:08] And, you know, just not showing any other emotion besides anger for real.

[01:53:13] So I think that’s what I like that message in that.

[01:53:19] Yeah.

[01:53:20] Yeah.

[01:53:21] I think it’s really important for us to get rid of the stigma of, you know, men having to be, you know, macho or crying be the epitome of weakness.

[01:53:31] Because, like I said last year, you know,

[01:53:34] if we weren’t supposed to cry, we wouldn’t have the ability to do so in the first place.

[01:53:39] So that is what it is.

[01:53:42] Exactly.

[01:53:43] Exactly.

[01:53:44] So, yeah.

[01:53:47] Turtle, he’s a fantastic tattoo artist in Cropping.

[01:53:53] And somebody that, you know, tries to bring a lot of meaning to the art of tattooing.

[01:53:59] So I give a shout out to him in that respect.

[01:54:02] So look forward to the podcast.

[01:54:04] We’ve got a podcast coming out.

[01:54:06] Mm-hmm.

[01:54:07] So, yeah.
